Privacy, plainly.

This notice covers the Claywell iPhone beta and this website. Claywell is developed by Brit Benjamin. Contact: info@claywell.app.

Your studio records

Claywell stores your pieces, photos, notebook entries, materials, and artist profile locally on your device. The current app has no Claywell account, backend synchronization, advertising, or third-party analytics SDK. We do not receive your studio library through the app.

Your device’s own backup settings may include app data. Export a separate backup if you want a copy outside the app. Deleting the app can remove local records.

Photos, links, and sharing

Photos you select are copied into the local app library. Opening an external link or fetching a link preview may contact that website and disclose information such as your IP address to it. Sharing a photo, PDF, caption, or backup sends the information you select to the destination you choose. Those services have their own privacy policies.

Beta interest and support

The beta-interest button opens your email app; this website does not collect a signup form. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever information you include. We use it to respond, manage beta invitations, and improve Claywell. Our mailbox and email providers process those messages. Contact us if you want your correspondence or beta-interest information deleted, subject to records we must retain.

TestFlight

Apple operates TestFlight. If you participate in beta testing, Apple may provide us with testing information, crash reports, and feedback according to its TestFlight terms and privacy notices. Avoid including sensitive studio records in screenshots or feedback unless you intend to share them.

This website

This site uses no advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or signup database. The hosting service may process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs to serve and protect the site. Preview access may require the hosting service’s own authentication.

Updates

We will update this notice if Claywell’s data practices change. Questions can be sent to info@claywell.app.

Beta access requests

If you request beta access through this website, we store your name, email address, any optional artist or studio name and comments you provide, and the date of your request. These details are used only to coordinate beta access and respond to your request. They are not used for newsletters or marketing emails. Only the site owner can access the request list. Contact info@claywell.app if you would like your request removed.
